Complete Knowledable Cost-effective Advice

Salesman, Mike, arrived and looked at an existing screw down metal roof on our workshop. Roof age was about 20 years. We had screws backing out, many screw-gasket failures, and water damage in one corner of the soffit. Mike looked it over, and gave us three options. For certain the most expensive would was a full replacement. Of course we were braced for a real high pressure sales pitch but we got the opposite. Mike called it exactly like it he saw it, and he gave us the right solution. We followed his advice, that is, lift a few panels and get a good look at overall damage, which he thought the probability was low and his expert guess was right. Then, he said, fix the wood in the existing small corner of water damage, (caused by blocked airflow). Finally, he said remove all original screws, the entire roof, and replace with longer and larger diameter. We did exactly as he suggested, and saved enough money to buy a new car, a nice one. Thank you Mike for your depth of knowledge, and your honesty. These two attributes seem rare in modern times, but this guy has both.
