Michigan Contractor Wins National Award for Quality

American Metal Roofs Inc., of Flushing, Michigan, was recently recognized by Classic Products, Inc. in their national newsletter with a Job of the Month award. Classic Products is a metal roofing manufacturer in Piqua, Ohio that specializes in residential metal roofing products. The award appeared in the December issue of Classic's national newsletter, recognizing American Metal Roofs for a high-quality, beautiful installation of its metal roofing products.
The award-winning job was an installation of Rustic Shingle roofing on a home in Romeo, Michigan. According to Frank Farmer, owner and president of American Metal Roofs, Inc., the project began with the removal of four layers of asphalt roofing. Diagnosing and adding appropriate attic ventilation was part of the project, along with custom-formed metal roofing panels for the curved porch roof.
"Asphalt roofing had let these folks down, as evidenced by the fact that they had four layers of it on the roof," said Farmer. "With metal we can give homeowners the attractive profile they want for their home along with lifetime durability."
